Timbaland, in partnership with Verizon Wireless, will create the first "mobile album" which will be exclusively available to subscribers of V Cast, Verizon's mobile entertainment service.
Billboard.com reports that Timbaland will produce one song per month throughout 2008. Each song will be recorded with a different artist as Timbaland tours the country on the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio Bus.
"Just producing a mobile album has never been done. I'm the first to ever do it," he tells Billboard.
Each mobile Timbaland track will be released days after it's recorded. Songs will be released as a full-length download, ringtone and ringback with plans to release a Verizon exclusive compilation album at the end of the year.
"I'm just going to have fun with it," Timbaland says. "I'll just do what comes in mind."
