A NIGHT OF FUNNY PEOPLE

Last night Doolen and I went to see "A Night of Funny People" at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Which was one-time-only comedy performance that filmed Stand-up routines for use in Universal Pictures' upcoming Funny People, from writer/director/producer Judd Apatow.

The film stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, RZA, Aubrey Plaza and Aziz Ansari.

Judd Apatow hosted the event, as the performers did live sets as their characters: Adam Sandler (George Simmons), Seth Rogen (Ira) and Aziz Ansari (RANDY!!!), as well as Patton Oswalt, David Spade, and Sarah Silverman performed as themselves.

The night benefited the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and 826LA. 826LA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

Judd asked that we don't reveal any of the hilarity. So I'll just say that we laughed for over two hours, and Aziz Ansari killed it as RANDY!!!!
