Word on the street is that The NMC uncovered a missing/unfinished track from the American Gangster Archives.
UPDATE: Jay hit YN of RapRadar with some clarity. "Maybe" was a demo of a song he wrote for Puff. It was never his record. Or ever intended to be on American Gangster, the studio sessions from which it was recorded.
