Eminem Renames “Relapse 2″ to Recovery

Last night, Eminem’s Twitter displayed a message saying that Relapse 2 was no more, presumably because of a name change. It made sense because at first Relapse 2 was going to be comprised of all the songs that were created at the same time as Relapse, but that didn’t end up on the first project. But then they went and threw all of those songs on The Refill. Now that (what was once) Relapse 2 has started to take the shape of a full body of work, they’ve decided a name-change will reflect that this is now a project that can stand on its own, but is still somehow linked to Em’s last album.

The first single is produced by Jim Jonsin, and as of right now, the album also has production by Just Blaze, Boi-1da and DJ Khalil. Via Nahright

Just Blaze On Eminem's “Relapse 2″ Lyrical Content

Just Blaze tells MTV that Eminem’s lyrics on Relapse 2 are a force to be reckoned with.

“He’s really back spitting. The wordplay is crazy, the metaphors are crazy. He’s really back on his game. He had his ups, he had his downs, he’s back way, way, way up. This is definitely going to be up there with the best of his albums, for sure, for sure. The fact that he’s branched out working with a lot of different people now, collaborating in a lot of different ways that he never has before, I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people.” Via RR
