Wolverine Boot Heritage Collection

American workwear activist, Michael Williams, brings us some first looks at the Wolverine Boot Heritage Collection coming soon to doors near you. “Maybe there is hope for classic American brands. Wolverine, the 125+ year old boot maker, is launching a heritage collection this coming fall with a selection of boots made right in one of Wolverine’s U.S. factories…The boots are made from beautiful leather, have good detailing and are in classic shapes. I love it when a company keeps it simple and falls back on its roots for inspiration.” Via Selectism

ONE TO WATCH: NOIRBASIC Paris

What is key to NoirBasic is their long term goal for “refined, uncompromising high quality vision” that keeps elegance “regardless of the period.” High grade materials play the most important role in this line - lambskin, alligator, ostrich, .925 sterling silver and natural silk. The output is a short run, handmade collection of jackets and hoodies that just work. The leather jacket is a banger.-Selectism

Modern DS 166 Leather Armchair

The DS -166 leather armchair is designed by Hugo de Ruiter for DeSede. The original idea was based on an artistic principle, yet without neglect of functionality. The outer form of the armchair has all the quality of a sculpture thanks to its upward tapering lines. This in turn results not from a mere whim of the designer or from the proverbial wet finger held aloft to see which way the wind is blowing. The armchair is a nest of lush comfort, a practical luxury to retire to. - Via - Trendir
