King James on the Cover of GQ (September)

Some excerpts from the upcoming issue:
LeBron On Cavs Owner Dan Gilbert:
“I don’t think he ever cared about LeBron. My mother always told me: ‘You will see the light of people when they hit adversity. You’ll get a good sense of their character.’ Me and my family have seen the character of that man.” He went on to say that Gilbert’s post-Decision screed “made me feel more comfortable that I made the right decision.”

LeBron on Charles Barkley Criticizing His Decision:
“Charles was probably trying to be funny. It wasn’t funny to me.”

Nike RT1 - Black - Red

One of the most talked about new shoes from Nike Sportswear’s Summer 2009 Collection has been the Nike RT1, which some might call the “Un-Yeezy” due to it’s similarities with the Nike x Kanye West Air Yeezy sneaker. While the Nike RT1 might share some similar features to it’s silhouette as the Air Yeezy the shoe is built on a completely different midsole and outsole and additionally does not feature the midfoot strap that the Yeezy has. Additionally some good news about the RT1 is that it only retails for $95 USD and this first colorway in Black and Red will be hitting Nike Sportswear retailers in April. via Sneaker News/ Freshness

The North Face x Taylor design - Down Vest

If you have ever seen me in winter, chances are that you've seen me in my North Face bubble vest. It's my favorite piece of clothing that I own. So, I was excited when I heard about the collaboration between The North Face & Taylor Design.

In its partnership with Taylor design, renowned outdoors apparel maker The North Face sought for greater refinements in its already impressive collection. The result was a collection with 3 subtle yet distinctive elements: color, function, and style. A continuation of its hugely popular debut collection in Winter 2008, the collaboration continues on this Spring with the release of Gore-Tex shell, tees, and the Down Vest seen above. A composition of polyester taffeta shell in 4 vibrant colorways, each vest insulated with Kodenshi (光電子) Down, a proprietary insulation process found only on The North Face’s Japanese products. Each comes with zipper enclosure in contrast white and is packable into an easily carry bag (included). The North Face x Taylor design – Down Vest is available exclusively through hnyee.Store on honeyee.com and The North Face flagship store.

Mihara Yasuhiro Travel Bag

While I love a steel framed bag as much as the next man, there’s something to be said for a good, beaten up, slouchy bag. This Mihara Yasuhiro travel bag is a perfect example of this, looking like the kind of bag that should be in vintage stores but never is. Get it if you can from Mindtrive. Via Selectism

I love this jacket.

The new hooded varsity jacket comes with a premium wool body, leather sleeves and further leather accents on the pockets. The added hood is not only functional, but also looks really good and they even added some characteristics of the classic duffle coat.

Property of - Billy Work Bag

This carryall reminds me of vintage Hermes luggage. Property of… maybe onto something with this Billy Work Bag. “Soft irregular hand-dyed leather outer with nylon twill interior lining. Metal zip closure [and] adjustable shoulder straps”. That truly vintage look without the price tag.
Measures approximately 42cm x 9cm x 28cm.

Costume National hooded jacket

Hoods on jackets usually bring down the sharpness level a couple of notches, so it’s a pleasant surprise to see a jacket that manages to keep it’s cool and still have some practicality. This Costume National cashmere mix jacket still has the sharpness and solidity of a formal jacket, whilst adding the functionality of a hood for those days when you can’t be bothered to bring an umbrella.
